I apologize to my readers and fans as I had to play tennis with my dad and I had a long bike ride on this special Father's Day. What fuels me to write every week is the fact that you matter. And these sports that should be written about more, matter. It is not just days like today that should be remembered as fun or memorable. Everyday you wake up is a bright signal that you can be even better than what you were previously, because you have the supporters that have your back. Now to the fun stuff!

MESSI's GOAL FUELS ARGENTINA WIN OVER BOSNIA

Lionel Messi scores the game-winner over Bosnia

Estadio do Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil- Lionel Messi scored in the 65th minute to give Argentina a 2-0 cushion and eventual 2-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina. Argentina's Sead Kolasinac began the scoring at the 3 minute mark to give the heavy favorites the 1-0 lead.
The stadium clock had just passed two minutes, and the goal was the cue for Argentina fans to celebrate. Many Brazilian Bosnia supporters were in the crowd so the Argentina fans in attendance chanted "Maradona is better than Pele," which sparked the stadium.

Bosnia, appearing in their first World Cup, scored at the 85 minute mark as Vedad Ibisevic scored to make the final eight minutes quite interesting. However Argentina played solid defense throughout the match and Bosnia was limited to 45% possession time. Bosnia did outshoot Argentina by an 11-5 count and 16-11 overall shots. Messi and Sergio Aguero led the way with three shots each. Argentina's goalkeeper Sergio Romero came up with five saves allowing just one goal.

Luciana Aymar was crying tears of joy and pain after Saturday's 2-1 bronze medal win over the United States at this year's Hockey World Cup.

Aymar scored at the 8' mark to give Argentina the initial 1-0 lead, but the USA answered with Lauren Crandall scoring at the 11' mark to tie the game. Aymar, in considerable pain finished off her second goal at 21' minutes to secure the medal for Argentina. Argentina outshot the U.S 6-5 and held a 5-2 penalty corner advantage.
